1.Number of Participants
Everybody's welcome! That means 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students from the general course and the international course. Even if you're in another club, drop by and say hi!
We usually get 10-20 students per week (even more when we have a party!)
2.Meeting Day(s) and Time(s)
We typically meet on Thursdays from 4 to 5:30p.m., but we sometimes meet on different days for parties and special events.
It's a casual club, so you can drop by and say hi anytime, even if you're late or early.
3.Goals
ERT stands for English Round Table. Our goal is to speak English and have fun while doing it! Also, we want to promote cultural exchange between the students, the ALTs, and the community.
4.What is the ERT ?
A typical ERT meeting includes:
1) speaking English
2) eating chocolate
Actually, it's more like this:
1) The ALTs introduce the "Slang of the Week", an important word or phrase that's not usually taught in class.
2) Weusually play an English game like Scattergories, Catch Phrase, Taboo, Telephone, 20 Questions, etc.
3) We have discussion time, where we get into small groups with the ALTs and talk about a topic like movies, travel, vacation, friends, or family.
4) Other activities include making crafts like Jack-O'-Lanterns or Piñatas, watching movies (in English), and making and eating food from other countries.

5.Achievements
For the past three years, the ERT has continually proven to be the awesome-est, most relaxing club at Narikoku.* Also, we eat more chocolate, per member, than any other club in Japan.*
*according to the ALTs, who are experts on this stuff.
6.Message
If you like English and if you like Chocolate, the ERT is the place for you!
